The Legion St Margaret's Hope

The Legion is in St Margaret's Hope on South Ronaldsay. It's an old British Legion hall, converted into a house. It's right in the village, a few minutes walk from the harbour.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. One is on the ground floor. The place is open plan, with big windows so it gets a lot of light. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well finished. The doorways are wide and there's a ramp, so it's good for wheelchair access to the main living area.

You're right in the village. There's a local pub. The ferry from Gills Bay comes in here. It's a useful base. You can drive to Kirkwall in about 25 minutes, or over to Stromness in maybe 40.

The beaches on South Ronaldsay are very good. Sandy. You're also right by the Churchill Barriers, which are a thing to see. You can drive across them to the other islands.

Facilities wise: it's got everything you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
