The Pump House Kiddemore Green

The Pump House is what it sounds like. It used to pump water for the big house. It's a single storey cottage now, so it's all on one level. That and the entrance ramp make it good if you have someone with mobility issues.

It's detached, so you're on your own. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's well finished, everything's new and it's comfortable.

You get views out over the estate fields. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you bring a dog. You're allowed one pet.

You can walk around some of the private grounds here. There are public footpaths all over the 4000-acre estate if you want a longer walk.

The main hall and its parkland are sometimes open to the public on certain days. It's a Capability Brown landscape with a lake and woods. Worth looking up the dates if that interests you.

It's quiet here. For a pub or shop, you'd drive to Penkridge or Brewood. Both are a few miles.

Within about half an hour you've got a few things. The RAF Museum at Cosford is close. So is the Shropshire Union Canal for a walk. Ironbridge is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. Birmingham is 30 minutes by car if you need a city or a big station.

Facilities wise: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking right outside.
