Heather
This is Heather. It's a pod in a field near Straiton, in Ayrshire. It's for two people.
You've got one big king-size bed up a ladder on a mezzanine level. Downstairs is all open plan: a kitchen area, a sofa, and an electric stove that looks like a wood burner. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Outside, there's a decked area with a barbecue and a firepit. The main thing is the wood-fired hot tub. You light it yourself and wait for it to heat up. It's private, just for you. The view from it is over fields. It's very quiet.
The village of Straiton is about a ten-minute walk. It's a nice little place with a shop, a pub, and a coffee shop. They've won awards for being pretty.
You're right on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park. It's massive. Good for walking, and you might see deer. It's also a Dark Sky Park, so the stars at night are really clear if you get a good night.
The coast is about half an hour's drive. Ayr, Troon, Prestwick. Sandy beaches and views over to Arran. You can get a ferry to Arran from Ardrossan, which is also roughly half an hour away.
If you want a day out, Culzean Castle is spectacular and about 40 minutes by car. National Trust for Scotland Culzean Castle. For the forest park information, Forestry and Land Scotland is useful.
Inside, it's all done out. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right next to the pod. WiFi and a TV. You can bring one dog.
There are two other pods here, Bracken and Bluebell. You can book them together if you're coming with more people.
