The Old Exchange

The Old Exchange is in Market Bosworth. It's a detached house, so no one attached to the sides. You get the whole place. It's right in the town, so you can walk to everything.

It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's a stair lift fitted. It's there if you need it.

The living room has doors out to the patio. The kitchen has everything you'd need. There's a separate dining room too, which is handy if you've got people with you.

You're a two minute walk from the market square. There's a few local shops, a butchers, that sort of thing. There are a couple of pubs you can walk to.

For history, the Battlefield Heritage Centre is a couple of miles out. The Battlefield Line Steam Railway runs from Shackerstone through here. It's a nice thing to do on an afternoon.

If you want to stretch your legs, the Ashby Canal towpath is good for a flat walk. Market Bosworth Country Park is nearby. The Bosworth Water Trust park is about a ten minute drive. They've got a big lake there for water sports.

Within half an hour you can get to places like the National Trust's Calke Abbey, Twycross Zoo, or the National Space Centre in Leicester.

Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, a TV, WiFi, and parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. No pets, sorry.

Useful links: Peak District National Park and National Trust Midlands. The Peak District is about an hour's drive if you fancy a proper day out.
