Studio
It's called The Studio. It's a one bedroom apartment that sleeps two. It's on the lock in Tewkesbury, so you're right by the river. We had it completely redone in 2021. It's got a 4 Star rating.
You're upstairs, above the lock gate. You get a good view of the boats going through. It's quiet inside, even with the water moving.
The front door is at road level, but you go up a flight of stairs inside to get to the living space. It's all on one floor once you're up there. There's one bathroom with a shower. Parking is on site.
Tewkesbury town centre is a few minutes' walk. There's a shop about 100 yards away and a pub even closer. The pub does food. You can walk to the abbey. It's a proper market town.
You're on the river, so walking along the Avon is easy. For sailing or paddleboarding, Croft Farm is a short drive away. They've got a lake.
It's a good base for the Cotswolds. Cheltenham is about 10 miles for the races or the festivals. Malvern Hills are 15 miles, Sudeley Castle is about the same.
We allow one dog. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a TV.
This place can be booked together with Avon Lock Cottage next door if you're a bigger group.
