Westend Duffus

Westend is a bungalow near Duffus in Moray. It's detached and quite big. You get the whole place and garden to yourselves.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable and well looked after, but it's not a luxury hotel. It's a good base.

The living room is bright. The kitchen is large and has a dishwasher. There's a utility room for boots and coats. The games room has a full size pool table and a dartboard.

The garden is big, mainly lawn. It looks out over fields. You sometimes see lambs in spring.

The village of Duffus is about two miles away. There's a shop and the Duffus Inn, which does food. Duffus Castle is nearby and worth a look. The coast at Covesea is only five minutes in the car. The beach is sandy. The coves have Pictish carvings.

This part of Moray gets more sun than a lot of Scotland. The coast is good for walking and you can sometimes see dolphins from the shore.

Within half an hour you can get to a lot. There are several famous golf courses. The Malt Whisky Trail is inland. The Cairngorms National Park is about a 30 minute drive for walking or scenery. For the coast, Visit Scotland has a good guide to Moray.

Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
