This is Hill Crest Lodge 2. It's in Hemswell, up a quiet lane on the edge of the village. You get an open view out over the Trent Valley from the patio.
It's a detached lodge, all on the ground floor. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a ramp to the door and the layout inside is level, so it's practical if you have mobility issues.
The main thing is the hot tub. It's private, on the patio. We get it chemically cleaned before every guest.
Inside, it's open plan. It's clean and comfortable. It's not a huge space, but it's laid out sensibly. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine, and the WiFi works fine.
The garden is enclosed. There's parking for a couple of cars right beside the lodge.
The village shop and a pub are about a mile away, so you'll likely drive. Gainsborough is a few miles off for supermarkets and a few more pubs.
Lincoln is the main draw. It's about 14 miles, maybe 25 minutes in the car. The cathedral and the castle are up on the hill. There's the Lincoln Cathedral website if you want to check times. The Bailgate area around it has cafes and restaurants.
If you like antiques, Hemswell itself is full of antique centres. They're big warehouse places, you can spend hours there.
For a day out, the Lincolnshire Wolds are about 20 minutes north. It's good walking country. Market Rasen racecourse is in that direction too.
Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Sorry, no pets.
