The Lambing Shed is a shepherds hut on our farm in South Hiendley. It's for two people. There's one room with a double bed and an en-suite shower room at the end. It's a proper building, insulated and with electricity, but it is a hut, so the space is compact.
You've got a wood burner for heat and a small kitchen area with a kettle, toaster, and a small fridge. There's a TV. Outside, there's a private patio with a fire pit and a pizza oven. We supply the bedding and towels.
The hut is detached, in its own spot looking out over the fields. We live on site at the farmhouse if you need anything. We keep dairy cows and have some livery horses, so you'll hear and see the farm animals.
There's a pub in the village, about a 15 minute walk down the lane. It's a proper local. For a supermarket or other shops, you'll need to drive to Hemsworth, which is about ten minutes away.
For local walks, Carlton Marsh nature reserve is very close. Fitzwilliam Country Park is good, and Hemsworth Waterpark has a lake and a bit of beach. A bit further, you've got Wentworth Castle gardens or the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, both about a 20 minute drive. The edge of the Peak District National Park is roughly half an hour away.
Parking is right next to the hut. We allow one well-behaved dog. Just please keep it under control because of the farm animals.
