Belmont is a detached bungalow in Becconsall, which is part of Hesketh Bank. It's on a quiet lane with its own garden. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have dogs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We renovated it a few years ago, so it's all fresh and clean. Everything's on one level, so no stairs to worry about.
There's a farm shop and a supermarket about half a mile away for basics. A couple of pubs doing food are in Tarleton, which is the next village over.
Southport is about twenty minutes by car. It's a proper Victorian seaside town with a long pier, the usual arcades, and a decent beach. The coast there is good for walking. You can get the train from Southport into Liverpool if you fancy a day in the city.
The area is very flat, which makes it good for cycling. There are a lot of footpaths around the marshes. If you like birdwatching, you're sorted. The Ribble Estuary is right there, and places like Martin Mere are a short drive away.
Further out, you can get to Rufford Old Hall or the beach at Formby in under half an hour. The Lake District and the Forest of Bowland are about an hour's drive if you want a longer day out.
For facilities, it's got parking right outside, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
