Walcot Hall is in Walcot, a few miles from Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire. It's a detached Georgian house. A big one. It's Grade II listed, so it's old and full of character, but that also means the layout is what it is. It's from the 18th century.
It sleeps ten people. There are five bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's a proper country house, so it's spacious and well finished. The stairs are normal.
The garden is about five acres. It's mostly lawn with some trees. There's an outdoor heated swimming pool. It's available from late May until early September, weather depending.
Inside, the rooms are big. There's a main drawing room with an open fire and a smaller living room with a TV. The kitchen has an Aga cooker, plus a standard electric oven and hob. The dining room seats everyone.
There's a pub about a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is two and a half miles away in Alkborough.
For things to do, you're close to the Humber Bridge and the coast. The Lincolnshire Wolds are about half an hour's drive. Further afield, Lincoln and York are both within an hour or so.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. We can provide a cot and a highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
