Ardville
Ardville is a cottage in Melness. It's a detached stone croft up on the hillside. The views are across the Kyle of Tongue towards Rabbit Island. You can just sit in the garden and watch the water.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs, one double, one twin, one single. The ceiling upstairs is higher than you'd expect for a cottage like this. There's one bathroom, with a shower, on the ground floor.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The kitchen is small, but it works. There's a separate dining room, which is useful. The living room has a wood burner and a couple of leather sofas.
The pub and a shop are about 200 yards down the road. The pub serves food. Tongue village is a five minute drive if you need more.
You can walk to three good beaches from here: Skinnet, Talmine and Achininver. The coast path is right there. If you like walking, Ben Hope and Ben Loyal are the big hills in the area. You can see them from the cottage.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
