Longcroft Cottage is in Oyne, out in the Aberdeenshire countryside. It's detached, so no one's sharing walls with you. The garden is enclosed, which is handy.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We redid it a while back so it's comfortable, but it's still an old cottage. The floors aren't all level, which is normal for round here.
You're quite remote. The nearest shop and pub are about four miles away in Insch. There's a restaurant at the Oyne Lodge Hotel, which is a mile down the road.
If you like history, you're in the right spot. You've got a lot of castles and stone circles nearby. Haddo House and Pitmedden Garden are a short drive. Tolquhon Castle is worth a look too. Inverurie is about seven miles for supermarkets. Aberdeen is roughly half an hour's drive if you need the city.
The place has a wood burning stove, which is good for cooler evenings. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. WiFi is there. We provide bedding and towels. There's parking right outside.
