Longcroft Dairy Oyne

Longcroft Dairy is near the village of Oyne in Aberdeenshire. It's a stone barn we converted, in our courtyard. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done up well.

The main room is open plan. There's an electric wood burner stove that looks like a real fire. Underfloor heating too. We kept some of the old milk bottles we found during the work, they're on a shelf.

Everything's on the ground floor. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included.

You'll need a car. The nearest shop and pub are about four miles away in Inverurie. Inverurie has most things you'd need. Huntly's a bit further.

The hill of Bennachie is very close for walks. The views from the top are good. There are plenty of castles around here too, like Castle Fraser which isn't far. National Trust for Scotland: Castle Fraser.

If you want the coast, it's about half an hour's drive north to places like Pennan or Fraserburgh. Aberdeen is roughly 30 minutes south. You can get the train from Inverurie.

It's a quiet spot. You'll see pheasants and hares in the fields.
