The Old Bull Pen

The Old Bull Pen is in Ludgershall. It’s a single-storey place, a converted barn, so everything’s on the ground floor which makes it easy. It’s detached and has its own garden.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, and two bathrooms which is handy. It got a 4 Star rating, which I think is about right. It’s modern inside. It was converted a few years ago.

The garden is a good size and looks out over a field. The owners keep sheep in there. Sometimes there are horses. You get the sounds of the countryside.

There's a shop about a quarter of a mile away. A pub and a restaurant are a mile down the road. The pub serves food. For a bigger shop, Andover is close.

You’ve got Savernake Forest nearby for walking. For days out, Stonehenge is about half an hour’s drive. Salisbury with the cathedral is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. Winchester is a similar distance, maybe 35 minutes. Highclere Castle, where they film Downton Abbey, is also within half an hour.

Facilities: there’s parking for two cars. It has a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a BBQ in the garden. Sorry, no pets.
