Swallows Church Town

Swallows is a bungalow on our stud farm. It used to be a hen house. We converted it into two cottages a few years ago. Yours is one of them.

It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, all on the same level. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxury.

The back looks out onto woodland. You have your own little sitting-out area there. There's a public footpath right outside the gate which goes through the fields next to our farmhouse. It's good walking straight from the door.

If you walk through those fields and woods for about half an hour, you'll get to a decent pub in Tandridge.

Next door to the cottages there's a garden centre. It has a restaurant in a walled garden, open during the day and some evenings. They do a coffee shop too. They sometimes run workshops.

The village of Godstone is about a mile away. It's got shops and a few pubs. For a faster train into London, Oxted station is two miles away. It takes about half an hour.

There are lots of big houses and gardens to visit nearby if that's your thing. Chartwell, Polesden Lacey, and Hever Castle are all within a half hour drive. So is Hampton Court Palace.

In terms of what's here, there's parking, a washing machine, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
