Tawny Owls Church Town

Tawny Owls is one of a pair of bungalows on our stud farm in Church Town. They used to be hen houses. We converted them in 2018. They're single storey, so everything is on the ground floor.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable. You can bring two dogs.

Out the back, you look onto woodland. There's a small sitting-out area for each cottage. You can walk straight from the door onto the footpath. It goes through the fields next to our farmhouse. There's a nice walk to a pub in Tandridge through the woods and fields. That takes about half an hour.

Next door there's a garden centre. It has a walled garden restaurant, open during the day and some evenings. They do a coffee shop and sometimes workshops.

The village of Godstone is about a mile away. It's pretty, with shops and a few pubs. The train at Oxted, two miles away, gets you into London in about half an hour.

There are a lot of places to visit nearby if you drive. Chartwell, Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, and Polesden Lacey are all close. For a day out, Brighton and the south coast are about 45 minutes away.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included.
