Eagle Cottage
Eagle Cottage is near Culkein. It's a white stone croft house that sits on its own. You get there down a short, rough track. It's on a working croft, so there might be sheep about.
The view is what you come for. You look straight out over Culkein Bay to Handa Island. You can see the big hills like Suilven from the garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and warm. The stairs are steep and narrow, typical for a cottage this old.
The garden is fenced and big, about two acres. The bay is a few minutes' walk down the path.
The nearest shop is about four miles away in Lochinver. Lochinver's the proper village with a harbour, a couple of shops, and places to eat. The nearest pub is about ten miles. You'll want a car.
Good beaches are a short drive. Achmelvich, Clashnessie, Clachtoll. All sandy. For walking, you're right in the middle of it. Stac Pollaidh, Canisp, Quinag are all close.
It has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.
