Eagle Cottage is a small white house at the end of a rough track. It's part of a working croft. You're by yourself out there. The view from the front is over Culkein Bay towards Handa Island. On a clear day you can see the mountains like Suilven.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom with a shower downstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and warm. The stairs are the original cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit narrow. Just take your time.
The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a TV and WiFi. The garden is fenced, about two acres, so it's safe for a dog. You can bring one dog. All the bedding and towels are included.
Culkein Bay is less than ten minutes walk down the track. It's a stony beach, good for a paddle. For a proper sandy beach, you need to drive. Achmelvich is about twenty minutes. Clashnessie and Clachtoll are about the same.
Lochinver is the nearest village with shops, about a fifteen minute drive. They've got a good butcher, a couple of places to eat, and a petrol station. The shop at Stoer is closer for basics, about four miles.
If you like walking, you're in the right place. You can walk from the door along the coast. For the bigger hills like Stac Pollaidh or Quinag, it's a short drive. You can see them from the cottage window.
