Creagach is in Culkein, up in Assynt. It's a detached, modern house, built about fifteen years ago. We run the croft next door, so there'll be sheep and cattle in the fields around you.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms, with two bathrooms. One is ensuite. Everything is on one level, so no stairs. The floors are heated. There's a wood burner in the living room for the atmosphere. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The view is the main thing. You look straight out over the sea to the hills. You can see Suilven and Quinag from the windows. There's a little rocky harbour just below the house. It's a good spot to launch a kayak or just sit and watch. We see seals often, and sometimes otters or dolphins.
The house is set back from the single-track road. You have your own garden, fully enclosed. There's parking for two cars right outside.
For beaches, Achmelvich is about a ten minute drive. The sand is white and the water is clear. Clashnessie is similar, just a bit further. Lochinver is nine miles away. That's where the main shop is, a couple of pubs, and places to eat. The pie shop is good. There's a smaller shop at Stoer, about three miles away.
If you're here to walk, you're in the right place. Stac Pollaidh is a short drive. Suilven is a proper day out. The peaks here aren't the highest, but they're some of the most dramatic. For a low-level coast walk, you can start from the house.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. All bedding and towels are included. The whole place is wheelchair accessible. Sorry, no pets.
