Charlies Cottage Muasdale

This is Charlies Cottage in Muasdale. It's a semi-detached place, about 50 yards from a good beach. The lane is quiet. It used to be two cottages, built back in 1862, but it's one house now.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.

The main room is open plan with a wood burner. You get sea views from the front and the back. On a clear day you can see right over to Gigha and the Paps of Jura. We often see seals on the rocks. Otters live around here too.

You're about halfway between Tarbert and Campbeltown. Tarbert has shops and pubs, and they have festivals sometimes. Campbeltown is known for whisky, with a couple of distilleries you can visit. It's got supermarkets and places to eat.

The local shop and a restaurant are about three miles away. The nearest pub is four miles.

For things to do, the beach is right there. The Kintyre Way is good for walking. You can get a ferry from Tayinloan over to the Isle of Gigha for a day trip. Islay and Jura aren't far if you want to explore further. If you're into birdwatching, the RSPB reserve at Machrihanish is nearby.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. The garden is enclosed. Parking is on site. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
