This is Charlie's Cottage, in Muasdale. It's on the west coast of Kintyre. A quiet lane, right by the beach. It's semi-detached and looks out over the sea at the front and the back. You can see the isle of Gigha and, if it's clear, the Paps of Jura.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms. One is downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside, so it's warm and the living space is open plan. There's a wood burner. The stairs are a typical cottage style.
The beach is about fifty yards away. It's sandy and clean. You'll often see seals on the rocks at low tide. We've seen otters around the point too.
For shops and places to eat, you'll need to drive. There's a shop and a restaurant about three miles away. The nearest pub is four miles. Tarbert is up the coast, Campbeltown is down the coast. Both have everything you need. Tarbert has a good harbour and events sometimes. Campbeltown is known for whisky, with a couple of distilleries and a museum.
If you want to explore, the Kintyre Way walking route is on the doorstep. You can get a ferry from Kennacraig to Islay or Jura, which is about a half hour drive from here. Gigha is a short ferry trip from Tayinloan. The area is good for cycling, fishing, and there are famous golf courses at Machrihanish.
What's here: parking on the drive, an enclosed garden, wifi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
