Haagwood Cottage is in Kilberry, on the west coast of Kintyre. It's detached. The view is the main thing: you look straight out sea towards Islay and Jura. You can just sit there.
It's a two bedroom place, sleeps four. One bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It’s comfortable and warm, with a wood burner. The garden is enclosed so it’s fine for dogs. We allow up to two.
There’s a shop and café about a mile away, and a pub the same distance. They’re local places. The nearest village with a supermarket is Tarbert, that’s half an hour’s drive.
From Tarbert you can get ferries over to Islay, Jura, and Gigha. Campbeltown is south, about forty minutes. That’s where the distilleries are. If you want a good beach, Westport is down that way.
For a day trip, going over to Portavadie on the ferry lets you explore the Cowal peninsula. North of here, Kilmartin Glen is good for ancient history. Oban is about an hour and a quarter’s drive.
The facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right outside.
