Home Farm Cottage Glenkindie

Home Farm Cottage is on our farm near Glenkindie. It's part of a converted steading. You can see the old clock tower from the drive. The cottage is detached, so you get your own front door and garden.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. We accept up to two dogs. It's got a 4 Star rating. The rooms are a good size and well furnished. It's not fancy, but it's comfortable.

You're right on the farm here. You'll see tractors going past, maybe some sheep in the fields. The garden is enclosed if you have dogs. It's very quiet. You can walk straight out from the door onto the estate tracks.

The nearest shop is in Alford, about ten minutes by car. It's a small market town with what you need. The closest pub is about five miles away.

You're on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. The landscape is open. For castles, you've got Balmoral and a few National Trust for Scotland ones like Castle Fraser within half an hour. The National Trust for Scotland website is good for opening times.

In summer, the Braemar Gathering is a big event. The Lecht ski centre is about twenty minutes away for winter sports, when there's snow. For walking, you're in a good spot. The hills aren't massive right here, but you can drive into proper mountains easily.

Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi included. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
