Woodhouse Cottage
Woodhouse Cottage is on Dobs Hill in Flintshire. It's ours, but we live in the main house. The cottage is separate. You get the bit of garden around it to yourself, and there's a bigger shared one with an orchard if you want a wander.
It sleeps five, in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped. There's a wood burner for chilly evenings.
The local pub is about half a mile down the lane. It's a proper local. Shops are about two miles away in Northop.
You're right by the A55, so getting around is easy. Chester is about a 20 minute drive. You've got the zoo, the racecourse, and the shopping at Cheshire Oaks is just off the motorway.
Into walking? The Clwydian Range is about 15 minutes away. Great for a proper hike. Llangollen is about half an hour's drive for the canal or a trip on the steam railway.
The facilities are all listed, but the main things are the parking, the WiFi, the washing machine, and the dishwasher. We include all bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you're planning days out, the National Trust in North Wales and Visit Wales sites are useful.
