The Bothy House Berwick Hill

The Bothy House is one of three cottages here on the farm. It's down a quiet lane, about a hundred yards from the main farmyard. It's completely detached and sits in its own acre of woodland, so it's very private and quiet.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both ensuite. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely inside, very open plan with big south-facing windows. You get good sunsets from the living room.

There's no Wi-Fi. Just so you know.

You're welcome to walk around the 200-acre farm estate. The farm shop at Kirkley Hall is a couple of minutes' drive away. Ponteland is close for shops and restaurants.

You're well placed for getting out. Newcastle is about 15 minutes by car. For a day out, the coast is maybe half an hour. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about 45 minutes. Holy Island is a bit further but doable for a trip.

Hadrian's Wall is on your doorstep. Good for walking. The Northumberland National Park and the Northumberland Coast sites have all the information you need for planning.

Facilities: there's parking right outside, a wood burner, a BBQ, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets.
