Truffles Cottage

Truffles Cottage is in Brockhampton. It's a tiny village on a no-through road. The cottage is next to a large paddock with horses in it.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It’s a traditional stone cottage. The ceilings are low in the doorways, so mind your head. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they wind and are a bit steeper than normal.

There’s a pub directly opposite. They do good food and have a beer garden. It’s a proper country pub.

For walking, you can step straight out onto footpaths. It’s good for cycling too if you bring bikes. Cheltenham is about ten miles away. That’s where the shops and the racecourse are. Winchcombe is a bit closer, maybe fifteen minutes. It’s a nice little town.

Sudeley Castle is in Winchcombe, and beyond that there’s Hailes Abbey. Broadway Tower is about a twenty minute drive. Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are within half an hour. Gloucester with the cathedral is about twenty five minutes away.

The facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There’s a wood burner for chilly evenings. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have a dog or children. One well-behaved dog is allowed. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking for one car on the gravel by the front door.
