Truim Cottage is near Dalwhinnie. It's a detached house, so you're on your own, no neighbours attached. The garden is enclosed, so it's good if you bring a dog.
Inside, it sleeps eight. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which helps with a group that size. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's spacious and comfortable. The stairs are normal, nothing tricky.
It's very quiet here. You look out over fields towards the Cairngorm mountains. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Outside, there's a patio area and a BBQ.
There's a shop and a local pub about a five minute walk away. The pub serves food.
You're right in the Cairngorms National Park. For skiing or walking, it's about 30 minutes to Aviemore and the Cairngorm Mountain area. Kingussie and Newtonmore are a short drive away as well. Loch Ericht is right on the doorstep if you like fishing or just a walk by the water.
For a day out, Fort William is under an hour's drive. Inverness is about the same. The west coast and places like Glenfinnan are also within reach for a longer trip.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Parking is on site.
