It’s called Truim Cottage. It's in Dalwhinnie, up in the Cairngorms National Park. It's a detached house, so you're on your own. The view from the front is over fields towards the Cairngorm mountains. It’s very quiet.
It sleeps eight in four bedrooms, with three bathrooms so you're not queuing. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. It's not a show home, but everything works and it's clean.
The local shop and pub are about a five minute walk. The pub serves food. Dalwhinnie is a small place, so it's just a village pub, but it's friendly. There's an electric vehicle charger at the house if you need it.
You're right in the middle of the Cairngorms National Park. For walking or biking you can head straight out from the door. Loch Ericht is nearby. Aviemore is about a 20 minute drive, good for shops, cafes or the ski centre. Kingussie and Newtonmore are closer, just a few minutes down the road.
If you want to go further, Fort William is under an hour. Inverness is about the same. The drive to the west coast or the Isle of Skye is a proper day trip, but it's doable from here if you want an adventure.
Stuff that’s here: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, a woodburning stove for the evenings, and an enclosed garden. Wi-Fi, TV, all that. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
