Hogholm Farmhouse
Hogholm Farmhouse is in Kinmuck, which is about ten minutes from Inverurie. It's a big, detached stone house. You're surrounded by farmland, so the views are out over fields.
The place sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's an open fire in the main living room and a wood burner in the sunroom. The sunroom is a good spot to sit.
The kitchen is big and open plan, good for a group. There's a utility room with space for boots and coats. The stairs are fine, not especially steep for an old house.
Outside, the garden is enclosed. There's a barbecue and different places to sit. You can park a lot of cars on the gravel. If you're coming with horses, there are stables next door with an indoor school. For shooting parties, there's a secure gun store.
You can bring up to two dogs. We've included bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair.
Inverurie is the nearest town. It's got shops, places to eat, and a farmers' market. For walks, Bennachie is close by. There are a lot of castles around here, like Castle Fraser and Haddo House. The coast, around places like Cruden Bay, is about half an hour's drive.
