The Old School House
The Old School House is in Birdwell, which is in South Yorkshire near Barnsley. It's a detached house, so no neighbours through the walls. It sleeps up to twelve people. Six bedrooms, five bathrooms. That's what the 5 Star rating means: there's enough space and bathrooms so everyone isn't queuing.
The main living area is all open plan: kitchen, dining, and sitting area together. The bifold doors open right onto the garden. There's a hot tub in its own room on the ground floor. It's for twelve people.
Four of the bedrooms have their own bathroom attached. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor. The stairs to the top floor are fairly steep, just so you know if you've got anyone with limited mobility. There's parking for several cars on the drive.
The garden is enclosed, with a lawn, some outdoor furniture, and a barbecue. There's a water feature in the middle of it.
For facilities, it has Wi-Fi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a speaker system that plays throughout the house. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to three dogs.
There's a local pub a short walk away. Barnsley town centre is about a seven minute drive. They've done it up recently with a food hall, cinema, and shops.
