Riverside is in Wimblington, out near the fens. It's a detached house set back from the road, opposite the Sixteen Foot River Bank. It's a proper big place, sleeps up to twelve. Six bedrooms, three bathrooms.
It's got a 4 Star rating. What that means here is it's spacious and set up for groups. The kitchen is big, plenty of room for people to be in there without getting in each other's way. Downstairs there's a living room with a wood burner, and there's also a games room with a pool table, air hockey and table football.
Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor. One is a super king with a TV, and there's a bunk room. Upstairs, there are two king rooms with en-suite showers, and two twins. The main bathroom has a separate bath and shower cubicle. There's another shower room too, so you shouldn't queue.
The stairs are fine. The entrance and main rooms are all on one level if that's needed.
Outside, there's a private garden at the back with a barbecue and furniture. The big thing is the private lake and jetty. You've got your own bit of water to walk around, sit by, or fish from.
You can bring two small dogs. There's parking for six cars.
For basics, the village of Manea is a couple of minutes away. It's got a shop and a pub. The market towns of March and Wisbech are a short drive for a bigger shop. Ely is about twenty minutes. The cathedral is worth seeing.
If you fancy a day out, Cambridge is under an hour. So is the North Norfolk coast for a beach. For walks or history, the National Trust has places like Wimpole Estate and Anglesey Abbey. Visit Cambridge is useful for planning a trip into the city.
Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. WiFi. It's decorated for Christmas if you book over that period.
