Voe House

Voe House is in Voe on the Shetland mainland. It’s a big old Victorian house right at the head of the sea loch. It’s detached, so you’ve got your own space.

It sleeps fifteen people. There are seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, so everyone gets their own. It’s got a 5 Star rating. It’s well kitted out.

Downstairs there’s a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine, and large living and dining rooms.

There's a separate spa building. It has a hot tub for six and a steam room for four. Robes and slippers are provided.

You’re on the coast, so you can walk right out. The village shop is a short walk away. The Brae area is about a ten minute drive for a few more shops, a fuel station, and some places to eat.

For a day out, the ferry to Yell and Unst leaves from Toft, which is ten miles north. Unst has some dramatic cliffs and beaches. The ferry to Whalsay is even closer, only about five miles away at Laxo.

Shetland is good for walking and wildlife. You might see puffins in season. For local history, the Mousa Broch is an old stone tower you can visit by boat. Lerwick, the main town, is about half an hour’s drive south.

Facilities wise: all bedding and towels are included. There’s WiFi and TV. Parking is on site. No pets.
