Stone Cottage Glasnakille

Stone Cottage is in Glasnakille, which is on the southern end of Skye. It's a detached stone cottage, used to be a croft house. The garden is enclosed. The view from the back of the house is south, over the sea to the islands of Rum and Eigg.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bedroom downstairs. There are three bathrooms, which is unusual for a place this size. One is a wet room downstairs. The main bathroom upstairs has a round bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. The owner did a big renovation, so it's comfortable. The stairs are bespoke, which means they're a bit narrow and steep.

The living room has a wood burner and leather sofas. There's a bookcase with books and games. The owner left their vinyl collection and a good hi-fi you can connect your phone to. The kitchen has a big window looking out at the view. You do see a lot of weather here. It can be four seasons in one day.

You can walk from the cottage to the Spar Caves and along the coast to Elgol. The fairy pools are a short drive away, at the foot of Blaven. Dun Grugaig, an iron age fort on a cliff, is nearby too.

For a bigger shop or a meal out, Broadford is about a twenty minute drive north. Portree is maybe forty minutes.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, parking, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
