Old School House
Old School House is in Altnaharra. It's not a town, it's a hamlet. Very small, very quiet. You're about a five minute walk from the local hotel which does food and drinks.
It's detached. Sleeps four, two bedrooms. Both have king size beds. Two bathrooms as well, both with walk-in showers. It's been done up recently so everything is new. Underfloor heating, wood burner. It's got that modern, eco sort of feel. There’s a utility cupboard with a washing machine.
Parking for three cars. There's a shed you can use for bikes or walking gear. A seating area out the back to sit and look at the view.
The place is good for walking. Ben Hope and Ben Klibreck are the big ones nearby. You'll see red deer, maybe an eagle if you're lucky. Lochs all around. The Falls of Shin are near Lairg, where you can see salmon leaping.
You're well placed for the North Coast 500. Tongue is north, Lairg is south. Durness is about an hour's drive, you can see Smoo Cave there. Dunrobin Castle is to the southeast, about an hour and a quarter. If you like whisky, Glenmorangie isn't far from there.

Facilities: everything's included like bedding and towels. Wifi, TV, dishwasher. It's all on the ground floor, so no stairs. No pets, sorry.
