Black Bank House

Black Bank House is a farmhouse in Sinderhope, up in the North Pennines. It's detached and sleeps ten, so it's good for a big group or a family gathering. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The house is from around 1820. It's been done up inside, so it's warm and has proper heating and wi-fi, but you can still see the old beams. There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen is the farmhouse style, with a big table.

Outside, there are gardens and a patio with furniture. The garden has a view over the fields to the river. There's a bit of a drop in the garden, so just something to be aware of if you have little ones. You can walk down through the meadow to the East Allen river. It's shallow in parts, good for paddling.

You're right in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Isaac's Tea Trail goes past nearby, and the Coast-to-Coast cycle route is close. It's very quiet. Allendale town is about three miles away. It's got a couple of pubs that do food, a cafe, and a Co-op for basics.

Hexham is a 20 minute drive. It's a proper market town with an abbey, supermarkets, shops, and a cinema. Newcastle is under an hour if you need a city day. Kielder Water and Forest is about a 45 minute drive north.

For facilities, it has pretty much what you'd need: parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, an electric vehicle charger, and bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if required. No pets, sorry.
