Rowantree Cottage is in Arrochar, at the top of Loch Long. It's a big house that sleeps ten people. There are five bedrooms and they all have their own bathroom, which is handy with a group that size.
We've just finished fixing it up, so everything works and it's clean. It's got a 4 Star rating. The view from the front is straight over the loch. You get the garden, and there's parking.
Inside, it's spacious. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. All the bedding and towels are included. You've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. The showers are good.
The village is quiet. There's a shop and a couple of pubs about a five minute walk away. One does food and sometimes has music. There's also a little gallery with local pottery. That's about it for Arrochar, which is the point. It's peaceful.
If you want to get out, you're right in the middle of it. The Arrochar Alps are right behind you. The Cobbler is the famous one to climb. Loch Lomond is about ten minutes by car. You can walk, cycle, or go out on the water from there. Loch Long itself is popular with divers.
Glasgow is about 45 minutes drive if you need a city day. The train from Arrochar station goes there too.
You can bring one dog. The garden isn't completely enclosed, so you'd need to keep an eye on them.
