The house is perfect for visiting Kielder Observatory and is a 5-minute drive to the car park for an extra chance to spot the Northern Lights in the winter months. It is a great base for relaxing, no matter what time of year, and would suit both couples and families. Its also ideal for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil break who enjoy walking or cycling. Children will love the Winter Wonderland in December.
Nearby, Leaplish Waterside Park has a hop on/hop off ferry, which takes you all around the water to admire the stunning scenery with a visitor centre, bird of prey centre and bar with outdoor picnic area, as well as a swimming pool and spa, ideal for a few hours of relaxation. The historic town of Hexham with its pretty Abbey and cobbled streets is only 25 miles away. Head north over the border into Scotland and discover some of the Scottish towns and villages.
