Lowesmuir Cottage is on our farm near Craigens, in Ayrshire. It's detached, so it's just you. The views are over the fields towards the coast and you can see Arran on a clear day.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's got a conservatory you can sit in, and that leads out to an enclosed bit of garden with a built-in barbecue.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see tractors and sheep. The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs nearby if you want a long walk. The coast at Prestwick and Troon is about a twenty-minute drive. Good beaches there.
Dumfries House is a short drive away. It's a big estate you can walk around, even if you don't go in the house. For a proper day out, Culzean Castle is spectacular. It's run by the National Trust for Scotland.
The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour away. It's huge, good for a drive or a walk. It's also a Dark Sky Park, if you're interested in that.
Facilities: there's parking right by the cottage, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. The garden is enclosed. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. All bedding and towels are included.
