Brookbank Farm

This is Brookbank Farm. It's over on Blackden Heath, a few miles outside Holmes Chapel. It's a big, old farmhouse from the 1700s, and it sleeps up to 18 people. Because it's that old and listed, it's got low beams and doorways, and the stairs are uneven. It's just how it is. There are seven bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy for a big group.

Inside, it's all original oak doors and heavy beams. The kitchen has an oil-fired Aga. The main living room has a big inglenook fireplace with a wood burner in it. Out the back, there's an enclosed garden with a hot tub under a timber cover.

The front looks out over fields towards the Jodrell Bank radio telescope. You can walk there. The property has four fishing lakes as well, shared with a local club, so you can get day tickets if you fancy it.

There’s a pub about a mile away, maybe a 15 minute walk. The owners live nearby and can help you book things like catering or activities if you want it.

In terms of things to do, you're right in the countryside for walking and cycling. The Cheshire Cycleway goes through here. For a day out, you can drive to Tatton Park or into the Peak District, both within half an hour. Jodrell Bank is obviously right there.

It's got the basics: parking, WiFi, a washing machine, TV. Bedding and towels are included. They can provide a cot and highchair. No pets allowed.
