This is Kennet Valley View. It's a bungalow in Calcot, on the western edge of Reading. It's detached, so you won't have any neighbours attached to the walls. The main thing about it is the view from the front garden and the conservatory: you look out over the Berkshire countryside.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
There's a front garden with the view and a private, enclosed garden at the back. It's got a bit of a suntrap patio and a swing seat. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
The location is good if you want to be near Reading but not right in the centre. There's a bus stop five minutes away with regular buses into town. There's also a gastropub, a fish and chip shop, and a coffee shop a short walk from the door.
For walks, the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath is half a mile away. You can walk along it towards Reading or out towards Newbury, passing a few pubs. Linnear Park is also right there.
Reading town centre is about four miles away. The mainline station has fast trains to London Paddington, which take about 25 minutes.
Within about a 30 minute drive you've got places like Henley-on-Thames, Windsor Castle, and the RHS Garden Wisley. Legoland is about 35 minutes away.
Facilities wise: it has parking, bike storage, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a walk-in shower with a seat. Bedding and towels are included. Utilities are included in the price. No pets, sorry.
