Malborough is a beautiful small village nestled in the South Hams in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and only a stone’s throw from the holiday town of Salcombe and a handful of sandy beaches including North Sands, South Sands, Soar Mill Cove, Hope Cove, Thurlstone and South Milton.
Upper Forge is equally perfectly located for easy access to the South West Coast Path which offers fantastic coastal walks with stunning views over the rolling countryside and coast alike.
The village of Malborough itself has two pubs, which serve food. There is also a B&B which serves breakfast and holds tapas nights. The village has a supermarket and post office for any amenities you may need to pick up for your stay. There are village playing fields which have tennis courts, a football pitch as well as a children’s playground and outside gym.
There’s also a cycle/footpath from Malbrough to Salcombe which has some stunning views of the surrounding countryside and can be found on the Sustrans cycle network.
Parking is available at the public car park located at the village hall or outside the post office a short walk from the property, both free of charge. There is also on road parking available in much of the village. Once parked, Upper Forge is accessed via the front door which opens onto a staircase which leads up to the first floor.
