Harbour View is in Hartlepool, on the north east coast. It's a big old Victorian house, right on the seafront. Literally a stone's throw from the water. You get the whole place to yourselves.
It sleeps up to ten people. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the big doubles has an en-suite. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and a single. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and functional. It's not pristine modern, but it's comfortable and you have a lot of space.
There are two living rooms, both look out to sea through tall windows. The kitchen is at the back. There's a separate dining room and a utility room with a washing machine. There's also a small playroom off the kitchen with a TV for kids.
The house is wheelchair accessible at the entrance and there's parking on site. We can take one well-behaved dog.
The promenade is right outside for a walk. The marina is a short stroll along it, with cafes and restaurants. The beach here is good for paddleboarding or bodyboarding when there's a swell.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got a few things. The RSPB Saltholme nature reserve is close by for birdwatching. The National Museum of the Royal Navy in Hartlepool's harbour is excellent. The North York Moors National Park is inland if you want proper hills.
Facilities included: all bedding and towels, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, highchair and cot. There's a patio area at the back.
