River Lodge London

River Lodge is a two bedroom house right on the edge of the Isle of Dogs. You look down towards the Thames and you can see the O2 Arena across the river. Houses for short lets with parking are hard to find around here, but this one has a driveway.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The living room looks out over a shared green space and the river.

The place is in a quiet residential street. The neighbours are families, so we ask for no noise after 11pm and certainly no parties or events. You have to be over 21 to book.

For getting around, Mudchute DLR station is a few minutes' walk. That gets you straight into Bank in central London in about twenty minutes. Canary Wharf is also very close. To get to Greenwich, you can walk along the riverside path, which is nice, or take the DLR one stop. You can use the Greenwich Foot Tunnel under the river to get to the Cutty Sark.

There's a small parade of local shops, a couple of supermarkets, and some restaurants within walking distance. Mudchute City Farm and Park is just up the hill, which is good if you've got children with you.

What's included: all the electricity and utilities, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, bedding and towels. There's a cot available if you need it. There's a small patio area out the back. The on-site parking is a real plus.
