Limestone Hill Farmhouse is on our working farm just outside Tickhill village. It's a detached stone house, so you've got your own space. It sleeps fourteen, which is a lot, but it's got seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, so it spreads out okay.
It's a 4 Star place, so the quality is high. It's been renovated, but it's still a proper old farmhouse. Thick walls, big rooms.
Downstairs there's a big farmhouse kitchen with a wood burner, a separate dining room, a snug, and a large sitting room. There are two double bedrooms on the ground floor. One of the ground-floor bathrooms has a roll-top bath. The stairs are typical for an old house, so they're a bit uneven.
Upstairs, there's a kingsize with an en-suite shower, a double, and three twin rooms. One of the twins has its own en-suite bathroom.
Outside, there's a patio and a lawned garden with furniture, a pergola, a firepit, and a barbecue. It's enclosed. You can hire a hot tub for an extra cost if you want one, but you need to arrange that with the provider directly. I can send you the details.
The village shop is a few minutes' walk for basics. The local pub does food and is about the same distance.
You're in between Doncaster and Sheffield here. Doncaster Racecourse is about six miles away if you fancy that. For walks, the Peak District National Park is within half an hour. Closer to home, you've got the ruins of Tickhill Castle in the village and the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum near Doncaster.
Facilities-wise, it's got what you'd expect: WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels included. We allow one well-behaved dog. There's parking on the drive.
