The Barn Sarratt

The Barn is in Sarratt, Hertfordshire. It’s a single-storey barn conversion, so you don’t have to worry about stairs. It sleeps up to four, all in two double beds. There’s one bathroom with a shower cubicle.

It’s been refurbished fairly recently. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well-equipped. The main space is open-plan, with a living area, kitchen and dining table. The windows are a good size, so it’s bright inside.

There’s no private garden or terrace, but the dining area is right by the windows and gets the sun. You can bring one dog.

The village is quiet and rural. There’s a pub, The Plough, within walking distance. Other pubs and a few cafes are a short drive away in nearby villages like Chipperfield.

For walking, you’ve got Sarratt Bottom Nature Reserve and the Chess Valley Walk on the doorstep. Rickmansworth Aquadrome is about a 15-minute drive, good for a stroll around the lakes. Chenies Manor Gardens is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.

If you need something more active, The Grove hotel is about 10 minutes away by car. They have a golf course and spa facilities. Watford is 20 minutes away. That’s where you’ll find Top Golf, bowling, and the Warner Bros. Studio Tour for the Harry Potter experience.

Facilities included are WiFi, on-site parking, bedding and towels, and a washing machine. Everything is electric, including the oven and hob. There’s a coffee machine.
