The River Chet flows through the town, with opportunity to sit and enjoy the waterside activities. Formerly, the waterway was home to a fleet of wherries that transported various commodities along the navigable section of the River Chet. Today, the pace of life is much more relaxed with a few boats, swans and ducks. Daily boat hire, canoe, kayaking and paddling boarding all available for hire locally. Great walking, cycling and bird watching are available from the doorstep, and fishing is available on riverbank .
Visit the traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 16 miles away, with a pier, wide sandy beaches and town centre, packed with activities for all ages.
