The Dalmore Pod is in Alness, near the start of the North Coast 500. It's a modern timber pod, just for two people. There's a six-foot fence around it, so it's private.
Inside, it's one open-plan room with a double bed and a kitchenette. There's a decent shower room. Everything is clean and works. The rating is 4 Star.
Outside on the patio, there's a hot spa bath. We provide robes and slippers for it.
Alness has shops, a few pubs, and places to eat about a ten-minute walk away. There's an 18-hole golf course a mile from the pod. Two whisky distilleries, Dalmore and Teaninich, are very close.
For a walk, the path up to the Fyrish Monument takes about two and a half hours. The view from the top is good, you can see the Cromarty Firth and Ben Wyvis.
Inverness is about twenty-five minutes by car if you need a bigger town. The bus and train from Alness are there, but the services aren't frequent.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: VisitScotland Highlands and for the driving route, North Coast 500.
