Sunnyside is in New Galloway, in Southern Scotland. It's a terraced cottage. We modernised it in 2021, so it's comfortable and everything works.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. The stairs are a bit steep, which is common here. There's a wood burner in the living room. We leave some logs to get you started.
You get a small enclosed garden out the back. It's private. Good for a dog, we allow one small pet.
The village is quiet. There's a good village shop and a couple of coffee places. The Catstrand arts centre is here too, they have events and a café.
The main thing is the location. You're right on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park. It's a few minutes' drive to get into it. The walking and cycling is excellent. It's a Dark Sky Park, so on a clear night the stars are incredible.
For mountain biking, the Kirroughtree and Glentrool trails are part of the 7Stanes and are within the park.
The coast is about a half hour drive. There are some nice beaches and harbour villages like Kirkcudbright that way.
Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. Parking is on the street outside. There's local fishing and a golf course nearby.
