Windmill Cottage is in a small village called Breadsall Hill Top, north of Derby. It's a semi-detached stone cottage. You can see the fields from the back. It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom, which is downstairs.
It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and has good facilities. It's not a show home, it's a cottage. The ceilings are low in some rooms, which you'd expect. The stairs are also fairly steep. There's a garden with a patio and a gate out to the fields.
There's a local pub within walking distance. In Derby city centre, about ten minutes by car, you'll find supermarkets and more places to eat.
The main reason to stay here is the location. You're right on the edge of the Peak District. There are good walks straight from the door. You can drive into the national park in about twenty minutes. Some of the big houses like Chatsworth and Kedleston are also within a half hour drive. If you like golf, there are a few courses nearby.
In terms of facilities, it has most things you'd need. WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. We can take one well-behaved dog. It's also got a cot, highchair, and a stairgate if you're bringing children. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the bathroom isn't on the ground floor and there are steps in the garden, so it's worth checking the details if that's important for you.
