Drums Beach House is in Foveran, on the Aberdeenshire coast. It's an off-grid house, which means it runs on its own solar power and battery. You'll need to be mindful of your electricity use, especially in winter. It's very peaceful.
The house sleeps five. Two bedrooms, both ensuite, so two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's modern and comfortable, with big windows looking out over the fields to the sea.
You're about a minute's walk from the beach. It's a pebble and sand beach, good for walks. The house is on its own, so it's just you and the garden.
For shops and pubs, you'll need to drive. Newburgh is about ten minutes away by car. They've got a convenience store and a couple of places to eat. Aberdeen is maybe twenty-five minutes south.
If you want to get out, there's plenty nearby. You've got castles like Slains Castle at Cruden Bay, which is about twenty minutes up the coast. There's golf too, like the course at Murcar Links. For a longer day out, Balmoral Estate or the Cairngorms National Park are within an hour's drive.
In the house, there's a wood burner for heat, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets allowed.
