This is Drums Beach House in Foveran. It's on its own, a minute from the beach. If you want quiet, it's quiet.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms, both en-suite. It's a 5 Star place. Luxury here means it's very comfortable and well looked after, not that it's overly fancy.
The main thing is it's off-grid. It runs on solar and a generator. Everything works fine, you've got power and hot water, but you notice you're using your own electricity. It makes you think about it. There's a wood burner for heat.
The front is mostly windows, floor to ceiling. You get a good view of the fields and the sea from inside. The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there.
For shops and things, you need to drive. Newburgh is about ten minutes. Aberdeen is maybe twenty-five minutes if you need a city.
You're right on the coast for walking. The beach is sandy. For a different day out, Castle Fraser is about half an hour inland. There's a lot of golf around here if that's your thing.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you're bringing a baby. No pets though.
