The Kylesku Kabin is a house near Unapool, in the far north west of Scotland. It's detached, with a private garden that's fully enclosed. The fence is deer-proof, which is handy as red deer come through regularly.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed with an en-suite bathroom. That bathroom has both a big shower and a separate spa bath. The other bedroom has two singles that can be joined into a super king. It has its own separate shower room next door. So, two bathrooms in total.
It's a 5 Star luxury property. It was rebuilt by an architect in 2016, so everything is high spec and modern. The main living space is open plan with big windows. The view is the main feature, looking out over Loch Glendhu and the hills. There's a woodburning stove in there. The kitchen is well equipped. It has underfloor heating throughout.
There's a utility room right by the front door for boots and coats. The garden has an outdoor tap with hot and cold water, useful for cleaning dogs.
You're right on the NC500 route. The famous Kylesku Hotel and restaurant is a short walk away, which is rare out here. For supplies, Ullapool is about 40 minutes south. Lochinver is 20 minutes away. Durness is about 45 minutes north.
It's a walker's base. Trailheads for Quinag, Canisp, Suilven, and Ben More Assynt are all a short drive. You get a lot of birdlife. Golden eagles and white-tailed eagles are seen from the property.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and on-site parking. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. Up to three pets are welcome.
