Jayne Cottage
Jayne Cottage is a studio cottage in Urgha, which is just over a mile south of Tarbert. It's detached, so you're on your own. It was built to face the loch, so the main window looks straight out at the water.
It's for two people. One room, with a double bed at one end and the living space at the other. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, warm and well kept. Everything you need is there.
You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
Tarbert is a couple of minutes' drive away. It's the main place on Harris. It's got shops, a couple of hotels that do food, takeaways, a petrol station and the ferry terminal for the boat from Uig. The Isle of Harris Distillery is there if you want a tour.
The cottage is good for coastal walks straight from the door. For the famous beaches, like Luskentyre, you're looking at about a 20 minute drive. Stornoway on Lewis is roughly 45 minutes by car if you need more shops or want to see Lews Castle grounds.
