River Bay
River Bay is a terraced house in Penarth, which is on the edge of Cardiff. It's in a quiet residential street, not far from the sea.
It sleeps six. Two proper bedrooms with double beds, and then there's a sofa bed in the living room for two more if you need it. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The patio out the back is a nice size. It looks out over the river Taff and towards the hills. You can sit out there in the evening.
Inside, it's got everything you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, fast Wi-Fi. Towels and bedding are included. Loads of toys and books in the cupboard if you've got kids.
Penarth itself is nice. You can walk down to the pier and the promenade in about ten minutes. There are a few pubs and cafes around there. For a bigger beach, Barry Island is about a ten minute drive. Cardiff Bay is about the same distance the other way. You can get the train into Cardiff Central from Penarth station, it's very straightforward.
If you want to go further, the National Trust has a few places nearby like Dyffryn Gardens. The Visit Wales site is useful for planning. There's a golf course close by, and you can fish locally too.
We don't allow pets. There's parking for one car on the driveway.
